About Us

Kathy Kathy Combrinck

CEO and Counsellor

I am a Specialist Counsellor in Christian (Biblical) and Wellness Counselling and have been counselling for 18 years. I am privileged to love what I do, but also love outings with my family and spending time in nature. Playing my guitar is my calm space as well as those quiet moments in spiritual disciplines.

During my years of counselling I have gained a vast amount of experience in many areas. Some of these areas are depression, relational struggles, marriage counselling, stress management, spiritual concerns, boundaries, parenting tools, anxiety, trauma counselling, dealing with loss, etc. As the owner of Green Willow Counselling, I am also passionate about offering wellness programmes in diverse organisations and running workshops on different wellness topics.

I enjoy working with people from different cultural backgrounds as well as religious/spiritual perspectives. Having worked many years in the Midrand and Pretoria areas has enabled me to build up a wide referral network to the benefit of my clients.

My studies include an Honours BA in Psychology with specialisation in Pastoral Counselling, which I further broadened with additional studies in different counselling methods. I then studied through CCEF in order to building on my biblical/Christian counselling skills.  I am registered with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor and affiliated with the Council for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors (CPSC).

Counsellor

I believe that we were “wisely and wonderfully made” and that we should live life fully and intentionally, taking care of body, mind, spirit and soul.

I spent most of my career in the Field of Education with a first degree in Music which culminated in Masters in Education.
I have since transitioned into Counselling and completed studies in an Advanced Course in Pastoral Narrative Counselling. I am registered with CPSC (Council for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors), as a Specialist in Christian Pastoral Counselling and more recently with TIRA (Trauma Incident Reduction Association) South Africa.

I use an Eclectic approach to my counselling as a means to restore dignity, meaning and purpose amidst pain and suffering.
I love what I do.
