About Us

Kathy Kathy Combrinck

CEO and Counsellor

I am a Specialist Counsellor in Christian and Wellness Counselling and have been counselling for 15 years. I am privileged to love what I do, but also love outings with my family and spending time in nature. Playing my guitar is my calm space as well as those quiet moments in spiritual disciplines.

During my years of counselling I have gained a vast amount of experience in areas such as depression, relational struggles, marriage counselling, stress management, spiritual concerns, boundaries, parenting tools, anxiety, trauma counselling, dealing with loss, etc. I have offered wellness programmes in diverse organisations and run workshops on different wellness topics.

I enjoy working with people from different cultural backgrounds as well as religious/spiritual perspectives. Having worked many years in the Midrand and Pretoria areas has enabled me to build up a wide referral network to the benefit of my clients. I love spending time with my family and going on hikes where I can enjoy the beauty of creation.

My studies include an Honours BA in Psychology with specialisation in Pastoral Counselling, which I further broadened with additional studies in different counselling methods. I then studied through CCEF in order to building on my biblical/Christian counselling skills.  I am registered with the Council for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors (CPSC) as a Christian Counsellor, and with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor.

Amanda PungulaAmanda

Administrator

I work in fulltime ministry with university students. I enjoy engaging with young minds on the Bible and culture, and how to integrate all of life and faith. Outside of that, I enjoy hiking, social settings and knitting. I am an amateur baker, striving only for mediocrity.

I love all things organizational and hence my love for admin work. I generally enjoy working with and helping people, which is expressed through my administrative role. Systems, emails, etc. can be quite frustrating, but I love being the link for people between wanting to make something happen and getting it done.

My training is in psychology and theology and am excited to combine the two disciplines for future ministry.

Heather Joy LewisHeather Lewis - Counsellor

Counsellor

I grew up in a very diverse community. I love variety and would, therefore, describe my taste as “eclectic”. My fields of study bear testimony to this as they include a Bachelor of Music, an incomplete Bachelor of Arts with Psychology and English as majors, a Masters in Education, “Explore the Bible,” Art lessons which are still current, and finally an Advanced Program in Narrative Pastoral Counseling followed by one year of Biblical Counseling.

I am equipped to counsel in the areas of depression, bereavement and trauma, addiction, abuse, marriage and relationship counseling, as well as teenagers and young adults.

I am registered with the Council for Pastoral and Spiritual Counsellors (CPSC) as a Religious Specialist and look forward to immersing myself in my newest challenge with knowledge not only gleaned from books, but also from my many years of ‘lived-experience.’
