Boundaries Course Coming Up

Boundaries: where I end and others begin

This course is about understanding where I end and the next person begins. Boundaries apply to your relationship with your family member, friend and partner.

We so often take responsibility for feelings, things, behaviour that was never ours to take ownership over in the first place. Moreover, they were never intended by God to be ours to carry. Ever felt guilty when you got caught in the wake of someone else’s anger…maybe you shouldn’t have said “hi” that morning…? Or have a relationship where you constantly feel like you’re going to be pushed too far again and you’ll end up just saying yes to keep the peace?

Other times we catch ourselves expecting the next person to be responsible for our behaviours, feelings and beliefs. Think of those relationships where you want the other to be the source of your joy or take the blame for messing up because they advised you to consider that course of action. As a rule, if we don’t have to take responsibility then we are happier for it.

The biblical principles of Boundaries can be applied to you whether you are a Christian or not. This course is presented in such a way that anyone can relate to what’s being taught.

You will learn about:

  • Why we have been created with boundaries;
  • Creating healthy balance in your life as you tackle daily responsibilities;
  • How we reflect God in our boundaries;
  • What healthy, loving relationship with those close to you look like;

These boundaries can be challenging to put into place, it takes time and practicing on ‘safe people’. If you feel you need more support, contact us.
